Letting Go Of The Branches Of The Life Tree

πŸŒ³πŸ€πŸ‘ πŸŽ‹πŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ’ A very common habit that has become deeply embedded inside us is the habit of possessing, to which we succumb repeatedly. πŸŽ‹πŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ’ We come in contact with different people, material comforts, roles, positions, experiences, achievements and of course our own physical body etc. πŸŽ‹πŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ’ on an external level and our own thoughts, viewpoints, beliefs, memories, etc. πŸŽ‹πŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ’ on an internal level  etc. throughout our life. The best conversation between two characters from Mahabharat

Karna asks Krishna - "My mother left me the moment I was born. Is it my fault I was born an illegitimate child? I did not get education from Dhronacharya because I was considered a non Kshatriya. Parshu-Raam taught me but then gave me the curse to forget everything since I was a kshatriya. A cow was accidentally hit by my arrow & its owner cursed me for no fault of mine. I was disgraced in Draupadi's swayamvar. Even Kunti finally told me the truth only to save her other sons. Whatever I received was through Dhuryodhana's charity. So how am I wrong in taking his side?" Krishna replies, "Karna, I was born in a jail. Death was waiting for me even before my birth. The night I was born I was separated from my birth parents. From childhood you grew up hearing the noise of swords, chariots, horses, bow and arrows. I got only cow herd's shed, dung, and multiple attempts on my life even before I could walk! No army, no education. I could hear people saying I a

Let her take her time

When she takes her time to drink a barely warm cup of tea, let her. She's given her time to cook your meal and serve it to you before she sat to drink her tea. When she takes time to select a dish from the menu, let her. Every day, for every meal she has prepared she has given her time to think about what to make, how much, and for whom. When she takes time to dress up to go out with you, let her. She has given her time to make sure that your ironed clothes are in their place and knows better than you, where your socks are. She has dressed up her child thoughtfully, to look like the most smartly dressed up child around. When she takes time to watch TV mindlessly, let her. She is only half concentrating and has a clock ticking in her head. As soon as it's nearing dinner time, you'll see her disappear to get things ready. When she takes time to serve you breakfast, let her. She has kept aside the burnt toast for herself and is taking the time to serve her family the nices

This was a question haunting a small boy. Their parents were  at wit's end, as they could not explain it in a simple language the boy could comprehend. Once the family went for a dharshan to Shri Ramana Maharishi. The boy put forward his question to Ramana Maharishi. Shri Ramana laughed to himself. Then with smiling face, he asked his devotee to serve  the boy dosa from the kitchen. So, on a plain leaf, a dosa was served. Shri Ramana looked at the boy and said, " Now I will say "Hmm" Then only you should start eating. Then again I will say "hmm" After that no piece of dosa should be left on your plate." The boy agreed. He was so excited. Others were watching expectantly.  Now the boy  was eagerly waiting for the signal by looking at Shri Ramana's face. When he gave the signal "hmm" the boy started eating. Now his attention was on Shri Ramana. He wanted to finish dosa before the signal. The boy was eating dosa in a hurry , tearing b

What do you do?'  I replied, 'I am an actor ' The man nodded, 'Oh,  that's wonderful!'  That was it...  When we landed, I held out my hand and said, 'It was good to travel with you.
